Hin Lad Waterfall is located in the northwest of Koh Samui, near a temple where the walking trail begins. It is known for its natural setting and the chance to experience a quieter, more untouched side of the island.
Reaching the waterfall requires a 20–30 minute walk through the jungle. The trail follows a stream and passes through lush greenery, rocks, and gentle elevation changes. It is generally an easy hike, though it can be slippery after rain, so proper footwear is recommended.
The waterfall itself is not very high, but it is scenic, with rocky cascades and surrounding tropical vegetation. At the base, there are small natural pools where visitors can sometimes cool off, depending on water levels.
The atmosphere is calm and less touristy compared to some of the more famous waterfalls on Samui. People come here for a peaceful walk, nature, and a break from the busy beach areas.
Hin Lad Waterfall is a good choice if you are looking for light activity, fresh air, and a simple jungle experience on the island.
